With You

Rebeca Parker 1983 (Stoughton)

With you I feel safe..
Safe from the world judging me, I simply care not for the distraction.

The vulnerability in me is diminished and I feel alive. The claws of lonliness greedy and hungry, grasping at my throat. Subdued; my heart no longer pounds with fear.

Safe in your arms, holding me. You are a haven to my tired soul, A respite from my troubles and worries. Your strength keeps me from the fray.

With you; Every touch you place on my skin, whether to be sensual and kind, or fresh and playful.. Is a healing salve Reminding me I have found home. You are the love I have always wanted and yearned to have...

With you; I feel I can be me, and not worry if you will see the demons behind my eyes. You are light and hope to my darkness. With you, I am loved.
