I was wearing my hair shor and long

I was wearing my hair short and long,
   was sick and healthy,
    lived with a man and alone.

Was rich and poor,
  happy and forlorn,
   travelled much and stayed at home.

Enjoyed a good job and was unemployed.
  With many friends and on my own.

Was loved and hated,
  had success and failure,
accepted and denied...


Alive...
  and one fine morning I will have to die...
