Happy Birthday Mom

On April 30th of 2023, if you were here, you would be 84 years old. I just can't imagine how these days would be with you here, but I certainly know how it is without you.

My days are full of thoughts of you
In my wondering head, I know you are true.
My nights are full of dreams of you
Dancing in circles. I just don't know what to do.

My heart cries for you and my soul feels the power
Each minute the tears fall, I am calm for an hour.
Beat beat beating of my rhythm gives me quiet shivers
Dance dance dancing as my spirit quivers.

The feeling I am surrounded by lifts me
I dare not close my eyes I want to see.
I know every sense of your presence
On my worse of days, it's my antidepressants.

I get lost in my heart, imagining what would have been
My own little world within.
No longer you are gone
At this time, for me all is redrawn.

Smiles with giggles upon our lips
In the magic of no tricks.
I won't let it be stolen
It's just you and me entangled in my emotion.

Time has no control for I hold it safe motionless
Our spirituality is so full of soulfulness.
I don't let my tears rain as I use to
My soul knows of you.

My spirit feels you always near
My heart sees you here.
Today in my own little world, I danced
Everything is so enhanced.

Imagination with power of love
More strength than from above.
I hear the music deep inside me,
It is your voice speaking and all I know is what I see.

For a moment and then it's gone
And I think everything is done.
However, my feelings are strong
And far from beyond.

And I open my heart and the tears have dried
And I had nothing there to be cried
And I rise with power I now control
And my heart is full.

My soul laughs with delight
For you are so bright.
And today it is more than it has ever been
My world is still, and I do not spin.

A quiet serene of melody
Skipping on the clouds of pleasantry.
Oh, if wishes and dreams would come true
I would have so much to do.

My heart would practice the song
And my soul would float along.
I would be in a world no one could know
Just with you and me, never to show.

My heart would not be sad
My soul would not be mad.
In this moment, the calmness of it all
I watch in my mind and hear you call.

And know you are near.
