The Magic Within: A Song of Love and Longing
In the stillness of the night, I think of you,
And all the words you've whispered in my ear,
Each one a sweet refrain, a melody,
That echoes in my soul, a symphony,
Of love and longing, hope and joy and fear,
A song that's filled with light and shadow, too.
Your aura is a thing of mystery,
A blend of darkness and of light and shade,
A subtle energy that draws me near,
A force that's both alluring and forbidding,
A magic spell that leaves me feeling swayed,
A secret power that's both strange and eerie.
I think about your light, so bright and bold,
A sun that shines on all the world below,
A force that's strong and true and unafraid,
A beam of hope that fills my heart with wonder,
A source of strength that helps me face my foe,
A flame that burns, but never will grow cold.
But then I think about your dark, too,
The shadowed side that's hidden from the light,
The part of you that's wounded and afraid,
The brokenness that sometimes shows its face,
The pain that never quite goes out of sight,
The scars that never quite have fully healed.
And yet I also think about your hands,
And all the things they're capable of doing,
The way they touch and hold and comfort me,
The way they guide me through the darkest night,
The way they make my heart beat fast and true,
The way they help me be all I can be.
And when I think about your eyes, I see
A mirror of my soul, a window to my heart,
A place where all my secrets are revealed,
A space where all my fears and doubts depart,
A portal to a world that's free and wild and new,
A path that leads me to a brighter destiny.
So in the end, I think about you,
And all the ways you make my life complete,
The words you say, the touch you give, the light you shine,
The aura that surrounds you, dark and bright,
The hands that hold me close, the eyes that see me true,
The magic that's within you, day and night.
