Grandma of Faith

She was at the concert, alone.
Night time
Heart of Detroit
By  the River.
Cobo Hall.
Many Gospel events.
This one, Morris Cerullo
And team.
Morris just a little man.
Jewish, born again, Messianic.
Voice and heart large, deep.
Like a lion.

Our little Grandma.
Seated two rows behind.
Sweet contralto voice.
Lifting up Jesus.
Thankyalord Jesus
Praise ya Jesus.
Knew all the verses.
Quickly flipped when
Prompted, to Bible chapter and verse.
We looked back at her
She smiled like an engaging Hostess.

Later at time of dismissal
We saw her alone
Waiting for a ride home.
Grand Son.
Dark Detroit
Clutching her purse.
Oblivious to all the
Front Page horrors.
Good Shepherd was ON DUTY.
