-Fairwell-

Stars fall between our lips as we bid farewell to final breath.
Never again to feel or to be, this life we now will rest.

Fallen soldiers to time, to illness, or to hate.
Not one more night of ecstasy as we align with bitter fate.

We live to die and practically kill ourselves to get in,
Simply just to wind up back to where it all begins.

Cradled in in the illimitable darkness of creation,
As all we know, or ever were becomes nothing but a djinn.

A unfulfilled wish,
dashed hopes,
and forgotten dreams.

Welcome here,
to life my dear,
where nothing is as it seems.
