The Gamble With Nature

Reece Mathew 2010 (Florida)

Scattered hopes on the ground.
Burning fires dreadfully surround.
The fatal clouds arrive,
Growing leaves fail to thrive.

Desperate needs for water arise.
Terrible blizzards brutalize.
Calls for faith seem to fade.
There is no rescue aid.

Like A Grim Reaper,
The magnate ignores peacekeepers.
Destroying everything in its path,
Humans neglect the ecological aftermath.

Exploiting chances for vindication,
Humans continue their industrial dictation.
The world will come to an end
If the human race fails to transcend.

About this poem
