stardust

oh child of stars
you are born of grace
oh bearer of scars
this is yours to embrace

fire to ash, you burn
implode to claim your destiny
oh scion of the sun
long awaits your epiphany

stripped weary, blood to bone
but still, you shall not bow
'til you have finally come undone
oh stardust, it is time to rest now

About this poem

This poem is borne out of sleepless nights and a love for the constellations and stars that blanket the night sky. The inspirations for this in no particular order are, the hour of midnight, my tears ricochet by taylor swift and a variety of fictional characters. fallen stars are human, after all.
