Beneath the Ocean's Edge

Niranjan Reddy 2000 (Madanapalli)

A tingling sensation on my skin,

Bubbles forming from within,

Alive and walking me towards the sea,

A mystical force that set me free.

Guided by these magical spheres,

I journeyed on, no doubts or fears,

Towards the edge of a cliff so steep,

Beneath it, the ocean lay asleep.

And with a leap, I dived right in,

Swirling with the water, as I begin,

Exploring the depths of the sea,

A world so vast, so wild and free.

And then a dolphin came along,

Its skin so smooth, its spirit strong,

It looked into my eyes, and said,

"Follow me, and don't be afraid."

And with its fin, I held on tight,

As we swam through the endless night,

Into a place, where history was drowned,

Ancient civilizations, buried underground.

And as we reached the sea floor,

Fishes shining in yellow, began to soar,

Circling around me, in a dance so pure,

Welcoming me, to a world so obscure.

A mystical journey, so profound,

A moment in time, forever bound,

A memory, that I'll always cherish,

Of a world, so enchanting and flourishing

About this poem

It's about a dream, it's beauty with it's own weirdness of a dream. It's unexplained twists is a big part of any dream that goes on to continue..
