Lonewolf Of Night
Ax.Barajas 1980 (Illinois)
Wake up in the light of dawn.
Hungry and alone been so many
days. Smell of maple sapp and
mildew. Drink some water to
quench my thirst from a nearby
spring.
Observant eyes wide open. Been
through so many rough winters and
cold nights. Beneath a pile of rocks
covered in tree branches.
Surviving with the will to go on.
To what predator or threat disturbes
my path. Never giving up, holding my
head high. Family and pride on my
mind. Even though I stray away from
the pack. I rely on my senses.
A Lonewolf I am. I look towards the
many full moons. The millions of leaves
at the end of fall to cover me in the dead
of winter. Keep close to the light of the
moon. To guide me and watch my back.
Instincts are in a level high. Feel the
movement of the earth beneath my feet.
Pause to take a deep breath by the bark
of a tree. Nature will throw obstacles
to test the color of my hide. Try to lure me
away.
Lone Wolf, shadow of the night.
Amber eyes full of light. Give strength to
me. Trust in myself don't trust no one.
Although hunger and cold try to slow
me down. I will find warmth in my
surroundings. Shelter in the Woods.
The woods is my home.
I do not fear the dark. In darkness is
when I do my best. I will blend in to my
environment. Put my ear to the ground.
If the odds are against me I will keep
fighting to my last breath.
Lonewolf of Night.
