The city unsettled
The earthquakes have stripped us from our sleep again,
The sky has fallen into misery again,
As the rubbles of once-a-happy home mounts up again,
The city has forgotten to smile,
The noble regime,
The powerful men, have all disappeared,
The sounds of prayers only,
Echo through the ripped open lands,
The crushed walls with buried souls,
Still alive,
The desolated streets have now become their friends,
Their eyes wide-open sparkling for life,
The stars twinkling brighter than ever,
In the pitch-black sky,
Misery has fallen upon the city again,
The fear of sleepless nights has spread again,
The magicians have lost their wands again,
In this darkness,
Only the ambulances reflect their lights,
Upon the shattered frames of a family photo,
If I were a magician,
I would struck my wand the land to settle,
And would stop the slanted buildings to rattle,
I would pray to God to end this battle,
Between the earth and it’s dwellers
