Each One Of Us

For humanity is like the rainbow;
That dresses up life in beautiful tapestry
Like the sun;
That takes her leave, so the moon can hush all night

For humanity is even;
Identifying with all color, race, and lingo
It is concerned;
About everybody, and nobody in particular

For a world that reeks of self
How divine it is to find,
A love so untamed, unconditioned, and free of prejudice

So tonight,
Whatever our disparities may be
Let's fix our pieces together
And tune our hearts to the rhythm of love
That in the end, it will still be
One earth, one humanity.

About this poem

This poem talks about humanity, love, nature, life and racial harmony. In the spirit of Valentine's day celebration, there is need for every person of color, race and language to truly share love without any form of prejudice. We all belong to one earth and we identify as one species.
