An Ode to Valentine's Day 2023 : The Broken Hearted Cattle Cuddle Celebration

The Cow Hug Day event has been cancelled,
A day we had both looked forward to,
Where we would visit Laitlyngkot,
And hug a cow, so pure and gentle.

I had made arrangements, saved up,
To treat you to this special day,
But now it seems that it won't be,
For the fear of being called anti-national.

Oh how I wish I could make it right,
To bring a smile back to your face,
But alas, the world can be so cruel,
And our love must endure such a test.

But know this, my love, I am here,
To stand by you, now and forever.

Alas, our plans have been thwarted,
Our Cow Hug Day, now lost in time,
A memory of what could have been,
A moment of joy, now left behind.

But in this loss, I find solace,
In knowing that our love still stands,
For it is a bond that cannot break,
A light that shines amidst the sands.

The world may label us as wrong,
But our love is a true and noble thing,
A bond that cannot be destroyed,
By the forces of hate and fear that cling.

So let us hold each other tight,
And find comfort in each other's love,
For in this moment, we are right,
And nothing else in this world matters, my dove.

And when the world is kinder once more,
We'll visit Laitlyngkot and hug that cow.

And though this day may be gone,
We'll make memories anew,
For our love is strong and bright,
And will only continue to grow.

We'll visit other lands and seas,
And find joy in each other's embrace,
For our love is a never-ending story,
A journey of laughter and grace.

So let us not dwell on what's been lost,
But embrace what we have right now,
For our love is a treasure beyond cost,
And will always be a shining light, somehow.

So here's to us, my love,
And to the love that will never fade,
For our bond will only grow stronger,
As we journey hand in hand, each day.

So let us cherish this moment,
And look forward to what's yet to come,
For our love is a beautiful thing,
And will always be our shining sun.
