Messy hair

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

I don't really care
About my messy hair
But sometimes its fine
When I brush it all in line
Sometimes life makes my hair
Stand on end in shock
Sometimes it got messy
When I had a fkuc
I don't really care
About messy hair
Now I'm older
And lucky its still there
Some go grey while learning how to care
But I don't care not a lot
Though I brush it most days
Die it every which way
Shove it in a bobble
Let it wabble in a bun
Oh hun, he says
Sort out your hair
If it was me I would worry about stares
I just don't care about my messy hair
Mother used to cut it short as the air I breath
But I let it grow and it does so with ease
She'd drag it with brushes here and there
But not me, not today, its still wet as a March hair
No I don't really care
About my messy hair
Maybe the salon can trim it and tare
But not yet no not today
I don't really care
But to think about it then yeah
Perhaps
So I care?
So what?
Oh let it bare the weight like this old mare
Or a holy mans hair long and platted with care
Oh not me narr
Not today?
Do I dare trying a new kind of hair
Something of beauty I never saw out there
Where people respond to
How you do your hair
Maybe one day I'll care
About my messy hair.
