Poem My Diary ... A Ghazal

Mushtaque B Barq 1970 (Srinagar)

A graveyard of memories is my diary
A slice of few centuries is my diary

Sweet are the haults that died in the lanes of this skin
Chronicle of enemies is my diary

Those in despair the wax drops  ooze, capped the head
A hut of old families is my diary

Silent sigh has silently silenced the silence
A mountain of fallen trees is my diary

Potion and poison are the tombstones of yore here
Hemlock of dear Socrates is my diary

Failures have laid the silken carpets of success
Of the half attempt's increase is my diary

Marbles, myths, merriments and malignant moments
A map of many countries is my diary.

About this poem
