Freed

From a cocoon to a winged maiden
A journey so hard, full of darkness
Does the light find you ?

Oh colourful one , fluttering over those fields of love .
With no care of what was and what will be
I look at you , and wish , wish I could just be

Oh transient one , one day a worm and lo behold ! a magnificent being
I look upon , with a smidge  of jealousy mixed with awe
Wondering when will I get out , out of my shell
Waiting to spread my vivid wings.
