The Truth

Murry Priyanshu Rao 2009 (Rayagada, Odisha)

Millions of lives I do see.
With billions of dreams like a mushrooming tree.
But none of them are left to be free,
Is this the education we recieve?

When several souls wept,
And we couldn't breathe.
To anyone have you said,
That how hefty sum you have paid?

Education builds society.
Society which nurtures quality.
But have you ever questioned why,
Where does the real knowledge actually lie?

Society where marks are glorified.
Society where wisdom is nullified.
Books clog the minds!
No place innovation finds!

When the shining intellect will be freed!
From the shackles of rote and greed.
The world will shine with the wisdom of books!
Otherwise it will fall in the fists of crooks!
