It's A Sad Reality

It's A Sad Reality
Author: Mark V. Markov

The word of God says
In the book of John
If you don't love your brother in Christ
You never knew God
If you don't love your brother in Christ
You are in darkness
If you don't love your brother in Christ
You are a murderer

It's a sad reality
When people don't care
About others
When people that don't care
Are also believers
From Christian denominations
And are very much blessed
Having lots of resources

For a millionaire
To give ten or twenty dollars
A fifty or a hundred
To a brother in Christ in need
Is like giving a dollar or two
And saying that they care

Yet if they just ignore
And walk away
It's like with their actions
They are telling God

That they want the brother in Christ to fail
To not succeed
To lose everything
And have nothing

Even though some people think
Within themselves
That they care
Yet with their actions
They are saying
That they don't care
And that they don't love

And if they don't care and love
A brother in Christ
Or a sister in Christ
With their actions.
The word of God says
They do not know God
And by their works,
Others will know them.

If they are fully aware
Of the brother in Christ
Or a sister in Christ
In need
And choose to fully ignore
Yet being able to help
It's like looking at someone drowning,
Being able to rescue that person,
And choosing not to.

But just standing there
Or passing by
And only looking and staring
At the person drowning

And at the same time
Just saying to yourself
That you do care.

People please
If you are aware of the brother in Christ
Or a sister in Christ
In need
Don't choose
To shut out the compassion
Within you

For if you choose
Not to care or love.
To continue to live in darkness
To continue to not know God
And only acknowledge that Jesus exists
You will end up loosing
Your salvation in eternity.

For your works are a mirror
Of what you feel and believe.
As Jesus Christ said
You will know them by their works.
That means obviously,
Not only by their words.

It's a sad reality
When people don't love and don't care
It is also a sad reality
That according to the word of God,
The people that don't love and don't care
About their brother or sister in Christ.
No matter how much blessed
They are on this earth
No matter how much they have
No matter how good their earthly life is.

When the time comes to leave this earth
They will lose their salvation in eternity
It's a sad reality
To live a life for what is temporary
And end up in the place of torment
For all eternity...

Luke 16:19-31 (ESV)

The Rich Man and Lazarus

19 “There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day.

20 And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores,

21 who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man's table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried,

23 and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side.

24 And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’

25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.

26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’

27 And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father's house—

28 for I have five brothers—so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.’

29 But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’

30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’

31 He said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’”

1 Book of John 2:9-11 (ESV)

9 Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness.

10 Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.

11 But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes

1 John 3:14-18 (ESV)

14 We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death.

15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

16 By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

17 But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?

18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
