don't press reset

It doesn’t matter how many
Days fall in between me pressing
The button. The number always resets
Even when I thought I was doing okay.
Red is the love that seeps from my
Aching arms, ridding my body of the
Memories. Your face still pops up.
Your name is still mentioned often.
My dreams never fail to include you.
I could never stop loving you, even as
The bandage loosens, the pieces fall
The credits roll
