Saddened

Ruth Henry 2004 (Ogidi)

SADDENED

When I was at my lowest
Painted in the picture of pain and grief Wanting to be free from this shackles
I cried, I yelled, But none is there to console me
I'm so broken that I thought that I have fallen
Tears is like a flowing river
My heart is in an excruciating pain
Looking for someone to deliver me
A girl with a soft and kind heart
I have been broken into shreds and pieces No one!! Absolutely No one to the rescue Have been turned to a heartless being
Which I have never dreamt or imagine of being
I feel the sharpness of a knife piercing into my heart
Sadness have pervaded the core of my energy
I feel like dying but I want to keep going Because I refused to worship depression Refused to bask in the present and forget the future
 Have surrounded myself with walls
 Which only me can smash!
 I will surely survive
Because I already believe that;
As long as the pain wouldn't take me to the grave
There will surely be a light at the end of the tunnel
Which will make me stand tall and brave Never letting myself grumble nor stumble This is a phase and it will surely pass
