My Father's Perspective

Consider the thoughts I have for you, aren't they sweet and endless.

Remember your first time tying a shoe,oh how you made such a mess.

Consider the sand on the sea shore,
much more than you can count.

Remember when you tried forming your words, every now and then came a little shout!

Consider the hairs upon your head, you'll never ever guess that number.

Remember how you'd suck on your thumb, yes I still watch while you slumber.

Consider the lilies how beautiful they grow, neither do they toil nor do they
spin.

Remember when I held you in the palm of my hands, admiring your soft radiant skin.

Consider being made all over again and everything about you was new.

Remember the day you said yes father, your words are faithful and are so very true.

Consider my eyes, which roam to and fro, you're in the center of it all.

Remember now son how much I love you,and I never want to see you fall.
