THOUGHTS OF A NEW PEACE

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

I  found myself falling to pieces too many damn times I would collect the shards of remains to create something new never having the right type of glue but the last time it was not needed because I decided to wear those scars as some kind of badge of honor

These thoughts that take up space inside of my head are thoughts of inner strength and peace there are those who will ask me to tell them my story then there are those who will continue to judge saying I am just an old stoner who has an excuse to do drugs but is a plant really a drug if it helps to keep you sane and to deal with pain

I have been built for this even though at moments I might self-destruct no longer do I blame it on my family's bad luck

I am the fire the earth the water and the wind
yes  Father I have sinned but what Saint hasn't
I said goodbye to all religions and everything that I have been taught to find these thoughts of a new peace

I might have been born into your world but now is my opportunity to create my own a true euphoria
