Queer Caution
I’m warned about you
And how I’m never to relinquish my heart
To you again.
Worries of distress and prayer
Cloud the eerie skies
And my fragile wits.
Don’t let the girl with
The hazelnut hair and
Chocolate chip eyes
Touch you again.
But my core, with melancholy, will
Miss your feminine lips
And the curve of your small neck.
Arms, hands, hips, sins
You hold my waist
You clasp my hand
You grasp my queer heart.
About this poem
This poem is about a girl I was on and off with for a while, even though she betrayed me many times, and how everyone I know has always warned me not to give in to her.
