Goodbye Mother Of Mine

I love you even if you haven’t learned loved . I’ll always care about you even if you lack self care.
I will always be here for you from a distance, even though you have left us with no persistence, you vanished with no existence.
My heart hurts for the broken home we where given yet we still loved you through it all even though we never got a call.
You brought us to this world and gave us a chance with game of life even though it cut us like a knife.
Growing up without a mother can make you hate the world crumbling down things begin to swirl.
As she was lacking the ability to understand that our time one day would be a broken pocket watch, wasted all the time we could have had wasted isn’t it something sad.
I seem to understand that you have chosen the life that led you to this path.
I choose the path of distance so you can no longer hurt me, I carry my own burdens and heal from the ones I can.
In hopes one day you’ll look back and understand.

About this poem

My biological mother left me in the foster system and I aged out of The foster system. I met her when I was 18 to find out she was suffering from liver failure and is slowly dying. She is a user of meth and alcohol which is her cause of all my sibling and I being in the foster system along with her dying.
