What's Worth It?

Pulsing pain pushing its way around my brain. Unimaginable pressure behind my eyes and I cry out..

Please! Not again.. I can't do this again!

A burning nail forcing its way into my head

A hammer clang clanging against my skull as my words fail and I'm left hunched over, gasping and pleading for it to stop.

Not again not again!

Hours left with nothing but the burning and the pleading and I give up a thousand times and wish I'd just die.

Because there is no way death hurts this much.

Pill after pill and yet it always returns. My will to continue diminishes as each morning hell is released into my body again and again

Sleep never comes when sleep is all I can scream for

Days and weeks pass and doctors tell me i just need rest

The only rest I can dream of  is a bullet to my head.

I just want it to stop but the world tells me to ignore it

I just want it to stop but the world tells me im fine

How much longer can i breath when every breath is a hurdle

How much longer can I go on when a gun is cheaper then the medicine

About this poem

This poem depicts not only my mental trauma, but also my physical trauma in dealing with medical issues in my life that scare me and are as of yet unknown in origin. I haven't written anything in a while but I figured I'd give it a go again
