Waves

The blue water shines,
So do my eyes.
Folks say "Learn to face your fear",
But the same say, "Make sure you don't shed a tear."

The waves hit the sand now and then,
My heart desires to sail them.
Cause every ship could stay at its harbor,
Safer, sounder but not what it's made for.

Every smooth sea has a rough side,
Storm, rain, fierce winds make it a tough ride.
But the storm would end, the sun would shine bright,
If you've still not lost hope, you're heading for the road, seems right.

About this poem

I have always loved the beach and I could spend hours watching the waves. These waves appear calm but they could also be rough. This poem speaks about nature inspiring us to overcome our challenges.
