There's a better plan.

In a store full of eye catching things,
I looked at you, and kept looking.
It took a moment to change a glance into a stare.
Intrigued by your charm,
I flipped...
Your marble like eyes,
And heart melting smile.
It would always reward me with tons of dopamine  and unmatchable, immeasurable feeling of euphoria.
Just for the pleasure of  eyes, now I visit the store daily.
Book being my dearest friend is now afraid to lose me to you.
Sleepless nights and endless thoughts,
This has never happened before.
I'm tired of  confiding to the diary everytime,
So,i gathered all my courage and went to mom,
I confessed and convinced with all my heart.
She smiled and nodded, in return of her favour, I smiled too.
Mom took me to the store,
I was more than happy.
I looked forward to get you home.
As I entered the store,i was thunderstruck.
You were not on the shelf you used be on.
I looked around and saw you in the arms of someone.
My heart ached.
I went through the dictionary but there was no word that could do justice to explain my pain.
I stepped forward to get you back.
But then,I saw you smile at her.
I never saw you smile like that before.
Your happiness killed the urge to snatch.
You're clueless about my feelings and pain, here I was awarded with brutal reality check.
Tears rolled down my eyes.
Without uttering a single word,i rushed.
Locked my room,my pillow became wet.
Seasons passed and the time did it's job of healing.
One day i passed the store again,
And looked inside,
There's no one better than you i always thought,
Unless my eyes were caught.
Caught by someone who was different from you,
Yet seems better and beautiful than you.
With passing time my preference has changed,
I've started to love again.
But I've got lucky this time,
Cuz this time, he's in the arms of mine.
I'll give up on him,no never,
We together, feel happier than ever.
It's all about destiny and fate.
But I'll never ever loose my faith.
The one sitting on the skies, has always done something that has made me his fan.
If the things aren't going my way,  all I do is relax, I've faith, there's a better plan.

About this poem

We are bigger than our pain ,no matter how hurt we are at the moment ,we surely will get over the pain someday. We often get depressed when we don't get the things we want or when the things don't turn out the way wanted them to be. It seems the end of the world when our plans fail but we need to understand that sometimes good things walk away ,so that best things can come to us. Everything happens for good,so we should never loose hope ,we should accept whatever we get with gratitude and we should trust the plan of God. His plans are bigger so we should give our best and leave the rest on him.Whatever we get is the gift of God and he'll heal our pain. Everything good or bad that's happening now, holds a reason that we'll understand later.
