In case I'm gone

In case I’m gone

To the people I love, I must say;
It wasn’t supposed to end like this
I really thought that I have changed.

I Have struggled a lot in the past before,
I thought this year would be different
But I guess that nothing ever changes because I'm still in pain.

I know that my depression has inflicted pain on those around me,
But I eased them and myself by saying
Don't worry relax

I had conquered my hard times, but at first you had your doubts
Because you read some of my past notes.

After all the hardships
I really had improved
But I had a secret that I have hidden really well
It would bring me to this year
Where I have thought to myself;
that if I don’t make friends here
I will reach my end

We are brought to this day
Where I haven’t made many friends
Where I realize I am past my shelf life due date.

We are brought to this very second
where I think in my head
I don’t know what to do
But I wish that it all would all just end.

About this poem

I do not really know anything about poems and i am m not even a good writer and I don't know why I am even posting this but I just wrote a poem about how I feel. I guess the basis of this is about my mental health. I struggled in the past and gotten better but I am not doing too good now and my friend wrote poems about her feelings and I decided to give it a try as it seems like a healthy way to cope and get feelings out.
