Half-alive

Oliva Grace Candungo 1992 (Santiago, Agusan del Norte)

I chose you
With all I am
And you chose me
But only half of yourself
Even if you won't admit it
Even if you'd deny it
I know that you still have what if's and could have been's
For how many times I pushed you away
I told you to just go away
Yet you insisted to be with me
For several times you did your best to make me keep you
And yes, I did
Now, I am with you
You are with me, but I can tell that you're not completely happy
You are breaking, you are suffering
I can see it
It's tormenting inside of you, you can't hide it from me
And if I can't fill the void of emptiness that you are into, then why stay?
You have all the means to walk away
I swear, I'm not gonna beg you to look back
Nor will I lay reasons for you to change your mind
Be fair to me
I can't stand the thought of having you beside me
Miserable and helpless
Haunted by your past
And unsure if choosing me was one of your wrong choices
