CAN I BELIEVE IN LOVE?

I can’t believe this is the Sweet love I toiled for,
The love I spiced with texts from dusk till four,
That made me feel above the clouds
Is now ending in rootless and baseless feuds

Dear Love, where and when did I mistake you?
I was ready to lose my all, just for you.
I moiled in my hustle nearly breaking my loin,
And heavily spent on you to my last coin.

I can’t believe you can leave me in this state
With my tears raining for unfortunate fate.
I am back to where I was in the last decade,
A depressed, lonely and broke comrade.

At least now I know the source of my love tragedy,
Sheathing love with all my wealth and energy,
Who could have uttered this in my presence,
That young love is a complete pretense.

Was it love or a mere infatuation?
A fashioned bridge to frustration.
Loved, I was too fast to conclude,
Yet I was in a heartbreak prelude.

How can I believe in love for real?
If the danger it creates no man can heal
How can I forgive, forget and accept you back?
Lest you come with a furbished heartbreak pack.

I can’t  believe in love, not even once.
Not even if you sing and make the goats dance.
I have been severely bruised and hurt
I got no strength to put together my heart

I don’t think love was meant for me.
Even if you come back to ask me
After days, fortnights, months, years and above,
I will always tell you, I don’t believe in love.
