Softly Hard

I don't like giving myself up easily.
I hate dealing with heartache and misery.
But I wouldn't mind suffering for you.
Would you risk sorrow for me too?
There's a common ground of sad pasts,
But I only care for this moment to last.
I've worn my heart in my stomach since we met.
You're one of those people I'll never forget.
I want this whole thing to work out just right.
When I look into your eyes, I believe it just might.
I can still feel your soft skin next to mine.
I look at the clock and wish for infinite time.
I've never been so relaxed as when you stroke my back.
I've never let anyone do that, a matter of fact.
It's obvious I'm falling softly hard.
I pray romance is in our cards.
Cause when I'm with you there's no one else.
I always wondered how that felt.
