Surgical Room

Anya ugochi Ben 2003 (Abia)

SURGICAL ROOM

I have been laid on the bed
Waiting for the doctor
It's time for a surgery
A spiritual surgery.
Where my heart will be pierced with the love of Christ.
My womb filled with the streams of river .

I have come for a surgery
Where I will be pierced with the strings of his love.
I'm on the bed
Wailing and roaring like the lion
I want to go home .
I'm still on the surgical bed
The doctor in white garment
Has pierced my ears with his words
I hear his words ringing like a bell.
I'm on the bed
Waiting to be discharged
But my stomach is open
I see drip of his blood
Flowing in my veins.

I'm on the bed.
Hoping for a discharge
Yet I hear Jesus hold my hands smiling
The angels with drugs of "wisdom"
I'm on the surgical bed
With all hopes laid on survival .
I hear the whispers of Jesus and his angels
It's time , they say
I want to be discharged

I'm on the surgical bed .
My mouth have been twisted into his image
I have been fed with his fruits.
My legs have been remoulded
I walk like Jesus.
There's a surgical bed,
When Jesus takes us in
He makes become more....
