SOULMATE
SOULMATE 2001 (Zomba central hospital)
Before you walk out
I want you to know that you're the one
I'll forever love and hold onto in my heart
Before you start second guessing
I want you to know that I'm in love with you
Before I lock my heart
I want you to know that you have the keys to all joys and sorrows
But before I start thinking of my life without you and what forever we'll be like
I want you to hold me for the last time
I want to stare at your brown eyes
before the beginning of the memory of us
About this poem
The poem is about a guy I fell in love with. Unlike the other people, I thought I was in love with... this guy made pushed me to better myself, to see beauty in my art and myself. Conversations with him felt like home.
