HIM

My dearest dad,

I do love that man

But I think only for the sole purpose of him being my father

Because of that stupid title, I still have to wake up every day and have to love him, or at least pretend to

All the gaps he left in my childhood,

My childhood, I was a child…

Why should I love someone whose presence felt like a burden to my own mother?

Why should I love someone who never felt like home?
