Dear diary

Monday, ah the start of the week,
Faced the day with a face bleak
But lo and behold a message popped up,
Good news came up that made my heart flutter and clap.
Worries vanished, anxiety faded
My late-submitted plate was considered and graded

Tuesday, my chill pill every week,
Usually no work, no assignments, no projects to pique
Day went well and sleek
Got to class with games to sneak
Even had my favorite iced coffee drink
Better seize the day cause tomorrow’s going to stink

Wednesday, mid-week suffering,
Had to be grounded and enduring.
7:30 am class, and afternoon quizzes made me crawling.
Even food and games can’t soothe my struggling.
Minutes felt years, hours are decade.
The promise of rest from weekends long been prayed.

Thursday, the farewell of week,
The stress says bye, the fun takes a peak
Work is minimal, but sure is tedious.
But nothing compared to the days previous
The f2f class seems bothersome,
But to see my classmates struggle with me, feels wholesome.

Friday, the excitement of the week.
Chores are to be done by day with mood mystique.
The One last class to attend real quick.
Shots and, party and clubs by night to seek.
The freedom gives an outburst of shriek
Then the hangover starts to creep and sneak.

Saturday then Sunday, the relief
Every second must savored although brief
Serenity does help a lot with the chaos.
Brought by the gruesome week of dross.
Now, it may end with a tear,
Cause now I have a week to prepare.

About this poem

This poem is about a week I experienced while I was in college. It was a rollercoaster of overwhelming emotions that I had to at least express through poem writing.
