A Wanderer
It was the chilled dead of night
when he jumped out of the window
holding an aspiration to reach the height
with a meaning that wasn't shallow
Oh! He had that spark in his eyes
that indeed wasn't hollow
Well! He was not escaping from his duties
But was trying to get the wings
to hold and carry the weight of responsibility
He wanted the dare
to look in the eyes of stormy winds
He wanted the fins
to dive in the deepest ocean
And what actually he wanted
was the truth
to get out of commotion
The road was all bare
having no light in the way
But it wasn't a dark construction
and was the lane to the enlightened lane
The man travelled and travelled initially
flouncing through rough lanes
when there soon appeared a pole star
to lighten his way
Well !! The desire was still alive in him
and determination still existed in his heart
And what to mention of his persistent hard work
that was his soul's part
The pole star was still stable in the sky
that brightened each time when he stepped forward his way
And when he reached the star
Oh! How can I explain you
all his emotions uplifted his gay
for he was now the new pole star
setting new goals, inspiring others
who still are flouncing in their ways
who must would have jumped of the window in a chilly night
AS HE DID ONE DAY !!
About this poem
I got the idea of this poem from the pole star that I actually saw during the evening time while returning from Lyrics Academy and looking onto it's movement with every turn I took , with respect to my frame of reference , I wrote this poem . The poem holds the story of a man elucidating how at a certain age , we have to leave our home to become a pole star for others and my poem explains that journey .
