A poem for Bill

It is the rage inside my soul
It is the heart not beating like gold
It is the feeling that I have that consumes me
It is the hurt and pain illuminated
If I had one wish you'd be right here
If I could hope one hope you would be near
If I could give you breath you'd breathe again
If I could take it back you'd have no sin
The love I have for you is real
And I say have cause it is here still
Never extinguished my heart and soul inflamed
For everything wrong you won't be blamed
My heart you've broken a million times
But I don't anger about past crimes
I still love you more, and more each day
The pain lessens none the more you stay away
You were taken by fate is what I'm told
And the love that I have for you I should not hold
