My wishes

Dorathy Magnus 2000 (Akwa ibom state)

How I wish he knows,
That my hands are eager, eager to get wrapped round his waist,
How I wish he knows,
That my lips are desperate, desperate to get stuck to his,
How I wish he knows,
That my heart melts whenever a thought of him slides in,
How I wish!

How I wish he knows,
That my eyes gets wet, wet with tears of joy each time I behold his face,
How I wish he knows,
That my fingers are eager, eager to caress his well shaved beards and play on his bosom,
How I wish he knows,
That I love it when he hugs me from behind,
How I wish!

How I wish he knows,
That I have portraits of him hanging on my walls,
How I wish he knows,
That I know his favorite dish and can't wait to prepare him,
How I wish he knows,
That my womb is ripe to carry his kids,
How I wish!

How I wish he knows,
How cheerfully the birds chirps on seeing us together,
Even the flowers  dances whenever we walk pass them on the streets ,
How I wish he knows,
How beautifully the sun smiles while looking on us.

How I wish he knows,
Why the clock stops ticking, yes it says we should have all the time to ourselves,
How I wish he knows,
That my ink is tired  of writing all these by imagination,
How I wish he knows that my eyes gets wet, wet with tears when I see you only in my dreams.

Yes, I do see you,
I see you in my imaginary world,
I see you and I carefully walk down the aisle,
Oh!  what a day of bliss!
My friends and neighbors knows you're mine,
But the man in quote does not know I am his.

How I wish he knows,
That I have given him a pet name already,
How I wish he sees,
How my ears erect whenever I hear his deep voice,
How I wish he knows,
That I am crazy, I walk down the streets in search of him,
Oh how I just wish!

How I wish he knows,
That the time is now,
That I  am growing each passing day,
Old age calls me dear,
I wish you know what Ecclesiastes says.

How I wish he knows,
The numerous men I have rejected because of him,
How I wish he knows
That he's the reason I haven't given mother grandchildren yet,
How I wish he knows,
That my womb is ripe only for his fetus.

How I wish I never wished,
How I wish my wishes comes true,
How I wish I never met  you in my pretty little head,
Oh!  how I wish he read this with love.
