Where are the children?

Where are the children?
I Can´t find them!

They should be in the sight of their parent's eyes.
In the landscape of the dreams, they dream for them.
On the road drafted for when they have grown-
On  the two lane travel way of their dearest team.

Where are the children?
I Can´t find them!

They should be in the garden  in grandmothers' house.
In the other garden where they learn to grow.
In the classroom of the school nearest home.
In the recreation yard where they learn to run.

Where are the children?
I Can´t find them!

They should be building with their love the feast of Christmas.
Writing letters to the Holy Infant asking sweet rewards..
They should be dreaming of  Kings riding camels.
Going places to find the Star and render homage.

Where are the children?
I can´t find them!

They should be inflating balloons to bid,  farewell , Old Year.
Greet the new and what it bring of dreams and hopes.
Its load of promises, the love they expect to see without jealousy,
Peace with an armor of Love and Trust and Dignity.

Where are the children?
I Can´t find them!

They should by the   side of a warmest chimney
where grandpa reads his memories,  play his old guitar,
simple tales narrate, his tender look upon their look, whispers
in the air, the echo of his patriarchal word resounds.

Where are the children?
I Can´t find them!

They should be in the kitchen tasting delicious honey,
biscuits, candy, and jellies topped with creams.
They should be hanging on to mother´s old cook skirts.
They should be singing songs thinking of her mother.

Where are the children?
I Can´t find them!

They should be seeking Little toys of wood.
Waiting, fully awake, with their eyes well shut,
for the arrival of the Infant, his gifts, blessings and stay.
They should be unpacking presents tied with tender kisses.

Where are the children?
I Can´t find them!
