Hard Headed Man

She's a lovely little thing
And she wants a ring.
But she knows that I'm a hard headed man.

She's got a million dollar smile
And patience all the while
But still she knows that I'm a hard headed man.

I want to do what's right
But my head puts up a fight.
I wish I wasn't such a hard headed man.

And there's a fire in her eyes
That could light up the skies
And she loves me 'til my lovin' heart bleeds.
But this hard headed man
Doesn't really give a damn
'Cause this heart just doesn't know what it needs.

I know I have to do my part
Before I break her precious heart.
Why does she love such a hard headed man?

She likes to look me in the eye;
Sometimes it makes me wanna die!
I wish I wasn't such a hard headed man.

But my heart won't leave me dead
Because it fights inside my head.
It's not easy being a hard headed man!

And there's a fire in her eyes
That could light up the skies
And she loves me 'til my lovin' heart bleeds
But this hard headed man
Doesn't really give a damn
'Cause this heart just doesn't know what it needs

I try to tell her what I think
But then I have another drink
They say that's not the best to be;

But she loves me anyway
And she's by me every day
I think that little girl holds the key!

And there's a fire in her eyes
That could light up the skies
And she loves me 'til my lovin' heart bleeds
But this hard headed man
Doesn't really give a damn
'Cause this heart just doesn't know what it needs.
