The Night's Horror.
Succy Sunday 2008 (Port Harcourt)
Being chased by the devil's pet,
Its eyes so red and bloody wet,
Its seventy eight teeth already set,
Sprinting after me like a jet,
Its looks so fierce that it becomes a threat,
A step of it forward makes me sweat.
Up from the world's most dangerous nightmare,
More than a fight's sphere,
Losing my life's air,
Sitting in fright on my high chair,
Into the dark distance I stare,
Thinking of what happened there,
Writing as the best way to share.
Scared of the night's horror,
Divert feelings from my sleep's terror,
Shivering in fear,
Writing to whoever seems to care,
To those who calls me "dear",
Tired of acting fearless, now the release of my bloody tear.
