My Relinquished Agony

Debbie Biyinzika 2003 (Kiwoko hospital)

Stuck in a sea of faces,
Staring at those
Who don't understand
The working behind my face

I am stuck,
In a crowd of extroverts
Who don't get the quiet
They look at me funny
Because i am silent

So pathetic,
They just don't get it
I can't take it anymore
I wanna tell,
But I'm scared to do so

I wished and hoped it was a dream
I thought it wasn't real
But the pain is real
And it really  hurts

Memories keep coming back,
And so do all the  tears

We are supposed to be there for each other
We are supposed to be tight
Somethings just don't seem right
"Famìly will hurt you the worst than anybody. "
I guess the saying is right
But I'm still not certain

About this poem

Unexpected betrayal from family... that i want to talk about but am scared
