Let Slumber I!
Prezzie thee with the journeying ims of min heart - when still could I,
Bestow my love, yet let thee soul wander much free, anticipating your return.
Lamented didn't I; but cast you never a thought, much less a glance here back!
Thus far awaiting thee or death,
For the earlier to visit came to be- Death lieu Thee!
Casting the Pale Death a glance, meet we ne'er in this world; knew I
Might it be, unite us in Death, so departed I with my visiting friend, abandoning much.
Alas, embrace my arms - none at all!
Been endowmented with Shroud am I,
My breath now held, never to heave a sigh.
Now cry thee tears, knowing once I was there,
To console thee throughout.
Yet ' Once Was I ' , am I no more.
Gone I to Death, hear so : Farewell! Farewell!
Oh borderless Sky, encrowned with jewels of moon and stars,
See thee I no more, ceased has my sight, like my dwelling hope,
To be buried such as me, yet deeper!
Yonder I near, my hushed territory of specters that call thee graveyard.
Greetings to thee, my Grave, my Land!
Let Slumber I,
Forever; to Beyond,
To Nothingness.
About this poem
An Elegy. This poem is a say about the bitter reality of life, Death. While many agonize it, some , like the poet - await it. And once Death arrives, they take peace in it's embrace, to Slumber Forever.
