Escaping hell, to a second chance...

Blinded by the suffering of the heart,
The mind takes over what is felt...
Falling into what seems like the depths of hell,
Where you hear your kneeling bell.

Wrapped around a rope like hand,
Screaming and wailing for your life,
Though it cannot be heard, as
it's piercing fingers run through like a knife

Thud...
Thud...
Thud...

A heavy gasp of air is taken,
in a room of dead silence.
As the once pale hands,
Wrinkle the sheets of the hospital bed...

Light slithers through, as
the eyelids widen, to be awake again.
With the name engraved on your heart,
In-sight of this awakening moment...

As they before you, eyes filled with tears
and with that priceless smile...
That's when you realize
Death granted...

A second chance at life.
