Cold, Rainy Night

In solitude, I stare at the night sky
Drifting, like a bottle in the sea
If the love I felt was just a dream
Is it justified to sleep forever?

Until the sands of time run out,
We will never be apart
In all my dreams, this I wished
So why are all the beautiful moments fleeting?
It puts a strain in my heart
My thoughts fill with melancholy
On this cold, rainy night

About this poem

I wrote this poem during a particular night when the sound of the rain and the cold filled me with a feeling of both calmness and thinking.
