Blow on Bitter Wind

Blow  On Bitter Wind

Blow on bitter wind in your reckless flight.
As the tall grass creates a fitful pattern
Violently bending to the left and right
While the pulse of life survives the bleak night

The seeds linger in the dark, frozen ground
Waiting for the sun to rouse and thaw the ice,
Latent but listening for the renewing sound
That silent, signal to lure and entice.

Soft, young buds peak through the soil
Utilizing what sweet mother earth provides.
Enduring the harshness of nature’s turmoil
Rising to flourish and proudly reside.

When splendor and beauty thrive,
And the flowers dance, we forgive
The cruelty we were forced to survive
For latent seeds are destined to live

So remember like the seeds we are special
And fated to be in love forever
To withstand the perpetual winters together
