Bad thoughts

Sitting outside looking at the sky
Remembering asking why
Thinking back to that faithful night
Hoping things might change for the right

Realizing that I felt this way for a long time
Knowing you will never be mine
Doing things I know that aren’t sane
Feeling down and looking mundane

Have the urge to see red
But instead I go lay in bed
Few times I came close to the end
But then I decided to mend

So I say stay away bad thoughts
You are not welcome here
You better not come back you dare

Why I am still here
Because I didn’t let the bad thoughts get me
Thanks to my kids forever be thankful
They will always be my world
