Annie's torment

Linette Bonghan 2003 (Oklahoma)

Ode

Annie couldn't stop thinking about the solitaire
she sat on the couch
But she could never forget the despair

That morning, Annie slept so there
She had to calm herself with a soul
Annie couldn't stop thinking about the solitaire

Later, Annie was spooked by a care
She tried to focus on a goal
But she could never forget the despair

Elizabeth said, the solitaire wasn't that fair
Said it was time to start thinking about a bowl
Annie couldn't stop thinking about the solitaire

Annie took action like a hair
The solitaire was like a toxic mole
But she could never forget the despair

Annie declined where her mind turned into a hole
Annie couldn't stop thinking about the solitaire
But she could never forget the despair
