It's Quiet Here Without You

"It’s Quiet Here Without You”

It’s quiet here without you, my sweet little boy
That day we said goodbye, it took along with you, so much of my joy
I miss the sound of your nails as you walked across the floor
I miss seeing that sweet face when I walk through the door
I miss feeding you green beans, they were your favorite treat
And anyone who knew you, knows how much you loved to eat
We cuddled on the couch each and every single night
But now that you’re gone, sitting here without you just doesn’t feel right
I know you loved me, as much as I loved you
I know you miss me sweet boy, I MISS YOU TOO!!!
I know you can’t be here with me, but you’re always in my heart
Please just know, if I had it my way, we’d never be apart
It’s quiet here without you, I’ll say it once again…
I miss every little thing about you boy, oh where do I begin?

About this poem

I wrote this poem in honor of my dog Rocco on what would've been his 11th birthday, but he passed 5 days before that. My heart just told me to write it for my boy.
