Friendship

Friendship
by Phil Perry

Know the way to always be there.
With a hand to carry them through despair
As allowing a strong shoulder to which to cry
Builds a bond that soars to a high.
Cherish the moments you have together.
Like two birds of a feather
Grasp a pact beyond no other.
To build a life in reach of another.
Blend your characters if change is need.
A way to fertile the soul for seed
Let there be no unreasonable doubt.
On what a friend is all about.
Time is a gift bestowed upon us.
To learn what friendship really does
Open your heart and let it in
Then, and only then will your life begin.
Now friendship for life has taken hold.
Your strengths and weaknesses begin to mold.
Open your heart and capture the dove.
As only a friendship will render you love.

In semi retirement now and since I was in school I have always had the desire to write words on subjects I feel, to give readers inspiration and hope through words that can relate. Much like music and artistry, the words written tell a story deep from within. more…

This is perfection, Phil. A beautiful sentiment expressed perfectiously. Thank you for lifting my spirit this day, Sir.
